SO why don't you just attend the conference at Mars Hill this weekend and report firsthand what you discover?

Because i dont have much money in professional expenses to attend more than 1 conference. This would not be the type of conference i would invest the churches money in. Perhaps Challies will report on it first hand via challies.com?

Also, please post your first and last name. Anonymous postings via blog sites tend to be dangerous.

I appreciate your question though.

Hey Caleb,
I'm glad to hear you and Andrea are well. I'm holding down the fort in good ol' SoCal. Planning to start TMS this fall.
Peace,
Michael Roe

Roe,

Great to hear from you brother. I am excited about you starting TMS. God used that place in my life in many different ways. In large part it helped mature me for FT ministry. I was not ready to serve as a Pastor out of college (or even during seminary). Besides learning a ton TMS refined me in many personal ways.

Blessings

CK,

I read that blog post quite a while back and did a little research. It turns out that this conference is actually one that is travelling around the country and is based on the book in which he is quite critical and does point counter point with emergent types. I don't think that this is any indication he is still emerging. My understanding is that he will be pontificating on teh stances he took in his book, (which I think even Phil J appreicated).

Also , where is my post on the Assumption of Moses!!!????!!! Come on dude.

Stancil,

I am still not crazy about Driscoll but i do agree with you...He seems to be gospel minded and even reformed in many areas of life and practice.

Birds of a feather flock together...most of the time at least.

Driscoll (in my understanding) is able to keep friendships with these guys even know they disagree with each other in major areas.

CK,

I'm not crazy about him either, although it is intersting to watch his progression into our circle.

I just wanted to be fair to him.
