Phil Johnson on truth

"First, God's Word is truth. It is pure truth, revealed by God, and it is the sole and sufficient final arbiter between what's true and what's false.

Second, while we may not understand any doctrine exhaustively, we can nonetheless be confident that what we do know accurately is true. That's the beauty of propositions. They recognize that truth by definition includes facts, and even though no finite set of facts or propositions ever exhausts all truth about God, we can know lots of true facts about God, and we can even know God Himself (albeit through a glass, darkly) because those facts, and God Himself, have been revealed to us by God Himself in Scripture."

CK,

I know you dont like the colts, and i'm not sure what your stand is on Coach Dungy, but if you havent already, buy his book. i am on chapter 4 and those 3 chapters have been great great reading. he actually spends the first 4-5 pages letting everyone know that this isnt a book about the colts or the super bowl.

Good book...

Joe,

Let me know how Biblical the book is. I am interested in it. Dungy is a good Christian coach.

CK,

It isn't biblical in an John McArthur way, but it is biblical in a "This is how he lives his life" way. Basically, this book is about his journey from college football,to being a player, to being a coach, and everything in between. It goes through all of the struggles that he and his wife have gone through, and it goes through his whole life. It is a very good book. I am on chapter 10.
